Introducing Community Children’s Posted on May 25, 2018October 4, 2021 We are excited to announce that we have officially branded our children’s service line as Community Children’s at Community Medical Center. While CMC has a long tradition of providing the best pediatric care in the state, we have decided to brand this service line to have its own child-friendly identity. The new logo and visual identity draws from the original aesthetics of Community Medical Center, the mother brand. It represents Montana with a mama / papa bear and cub – it’s fun, comforting, protective and child-like – just like our pediatric patients and peds staff. Community Children’s offers the depth and breadth of services, including specialties and certifications, you may not find in many hospitals in major cities. From fetal transfusions for the youngest and tiniest of patients to a neonatal intensive care unit that cares for babies born as early as 23 weeks to the region’s best pediatric therapy specialists, we’re at the forefront of pediatric medicine. We have maintained a close affiliation with Seattle Children’s for more than 10 years, tapping into Seattle’s cutting-edge clinical protocols to serve patients right here in Missoula. Seattle Children’s is consistently ranked as one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals by US News and World Report and ranked the top children’s hospital in the Northwest. Our hospitalist and intensive care doctors in Missoula collaborate with pediatric specialists in Seattle to coordinate care for Montana children in Missoula whenever possible. For children who must leave the state for complex surgeries or other care procedures – we work closely with Seattle Children’s to transfer the child to Seattle for surgery and partner with them to help the child transition back home as soon as possible. Community Children’s also has support resources beyond medical care. At a time of crisis, dislocation or other difficult circumstance, we are affiliated with non-profit organizations that provide services to patients and families we serve. Some of these resources include Ronald McDonald House, Watson Children’s Shelter, Mountain Home Montana and Mother’s Milk Bank of Montana, most of which are located on our campus or nearby. Yet, as committed as we are to being at the leading edge of treatments and technology, we never lose sight of the personal touch and compassion that have become the hallmark of Community Medical Center care. Nothing is more precious than a young life – and nothing more important than the trust parents and families put in us.
