He completed a child clinical internship at the University of Utah, Primary Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) in Salt Lake City followed by a post-doctoral pediatric neuropsychology residency at PCMC in 1990, with rotation in adult neuropsychology at the Neurology, Learning and Behavior Center. Affiliations include the International Neuropsychological Society, National Academy of Neuropsychology and the American Psychological Association-Division 40 Clinical Neuropsychology. He has served as an advisory board member, Montana Brain Injury Center and as a neuropsychological consultant to the University of Montana Neural Injury Center. He is currently a board member and clinical advisor, University of Montana Neural Injury Center. Dr. Harrison currently specializes in the evaluation of neurological disorders resulting from traumatic brain injury, infectious diseases, environmental toxins, seizure disorders and other problems impacting the central nervous system in children and adults. He has been a neuropsychological consultant to the Missoula County Public Schools for the past 24 years, providing weekly neuropsychology clinics in the school setting. He is also on staff for Providence St. Patrick Hospital and Community Medical Center where he provides inpatient consultations for acute and rehabilitation settings. The remainder of his time is devoted to private practice, Montana NeuroCare, conducting neuropsychological evaluations and training graduate students.
