Before joining the NICU team at Community Children’s, she was a NICU Medical Director at Montana Children’s in Kalispell and Vanderbilt’s Children’s Hospital in Nashville. Dr. Veneman was a 29-week 1190 gram preemie herself who spent the first 3-months of her life in the hospital. She was raised in rural Idaho and moved to Montana in 2004 with her husband and four children. Her clinical passions in the NICU include family centered care, breastfeeding, and promoting active parenting. When not at work she enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with her family.
