Dr. Mitchell is a board certified maternal-fetal medicine specialist who provides care to women with high-risk pregnancies. He specializes in the management of both maternal and fetal conditions that impact pregnancy outcomes. He has interests in prenatal genetics and diagnosis, preterm birth prevention, as well as gestational and pre-gestational diabetes management. He has expertise in complex deliveries, amniocentesis, cervical cerclage, fetal ultrasound and fetal echocardiograms as well as prenatal genetic testing. He believes strongly in collaborative care and enjoys working closely with patient’s primary providers as well as other specialists to help achieve the best possible outcomes for mom and baby.

Dr. Mitchell has deep roots in northwest Montana where 5 generations of his family have called home. He is excited to return to the area to provide care to the region. Prior to working at Community Medical Center, Dr. Mitchell worked in Eugene, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. He trained at the University of Washington for his obstetrics & gynecology residency and maternal-fetal medicine fellowship. He attended New York Medical College and is a graduate of Carroll College in Helena, Montana.
